Green Rounded Planthopper (Phylloscelis sp.) in Sumatra Indonesia


Photos in this post were taken in Bengkulu Sumatra Indonesia. This bug is probably from the family of Dictyopharidae under genus of Phylloscelis. There is not much information about this planthopper over the internet, and the genus of Phylloscelis only recognized in the US.



This planthopper has rounded or oval body shape, short head,  green color of elytra and light blue color of sculletum and front face. At the border between elytra and sculletum, it has narrow orange border. The size of this planthopper is about 4mm.
